London: the best place to enjoy Spring
Mother Nature has finally brought us Spring! Contrary to what some might say, you can enjoy some sunny days in the UK too: walks in the parks, pints outside pubs, tea at one of the many terraces... During lunch break or the weekend, it is good to go out, cleanse the mind and get your fill of happiness. Whether you are gourmet, sporty or fashion addict, there will always be a way of putting Spring in your life.
Always bring a hamper for your picnics
When the warm weather arrives, what is better than picnicking in one of London's many parks, comfortably seated on a blanket and listening to birds chirping? To enjoy the occasion, BB Bakery proposes a boxed picnic with sandwiches, cakes, orange juice, and obviously... tea! What's more, the box is the perfect size to take to your favourite park on your bike.

Would you prefer to imagine yourself listening to cicadas under Mediterranean pine trees without moving from London? The Eat French Food hamper is the perfect solution for you. Filled with products from Southern France, such as deer terrine, lavender honey and rosé, this basket will carry you away to Provence. A London park will feel like a trip to the Calanques!
For an elegant picnic, why not try cheese? Easy to share, and loved by everybody. Androuet will have just the thing for you. The fromager makes different types of hampers, for 1 to 10 people. Here are their recommendations for Spring, from the mildest to the strongest: Signal (goat's cheese, made by only one French producer), Camembert, Comté 24 months, Timanoix (cow's milk and walnut liqueur) and Bleu des Basques (sheep's milk). With crackers, a bunch of grapes and a bottle of wine, they will be perfect to spend a warm afternoon under the shade of trees.

On the topic of perfume, you are not short of choices to bring new notes to your daily routine. L'artisan parfumeur offers several floral scents for men and women, with charming names such as La Chasse aux Papillons ("Chasing Butterflies"), Mimosa pour Moi ("Mimosa for me") and Drôle de Rose ("Funny Rose").
Molinard, based in Grasse, redefines its classic perfume in Habanita La Cologne, a mix of rosewood, violet, lime and nutmeg.
For its part, the famous Dior has launched its latest fragrance: Poison Girl, mixing notes of bitter orange, Grasse rose and Tonka beans.
Finally, for more modest budgets, the latest arrival from the collection Un Matin au Jardin by Yves Rocher has just come out: Verbena Leaves which will refresh you with notes of citrus, musk and, obviously, verbena. Let your legs breathe!
With soft colours and light material, this year, fashion is romantic. So take the opportunity of the sun coming out to wear light skirts and multicoloured shirts. Ladies, if you like soft and delicate clothes, Maje's Lascard top will definitely convince you. And obviously, Spring means floral prints. And Morgan is the place to go for it. Their skirt covered with wild flowers totally charmed us. But if you are looking for something more classic, this year, Promod has released simple and light dresses.
- Lascard top by Maje : £155
- Floral printed skirt by Morgan : £45
- Light embroidered dress by Promod : £44,95
- Regular Picacuba Chinos pants by Eden Park : £87
First of all: protect your skin
“Laissons entrer le soleil” ("Let the sun come in") said Julien Clair. Sure, but you must not forget to protect your skin. Because even in Spring, the sun can be aggressive. To protect yourself while moisturising, Nuxe proposes Sun, a collection of oils and creams which take care or your skin. Most of all, they smell really good!
Avène makes a range of protection creams and sprays SPF 50+. They even sell a foundation protecting sensitive skins.
Finally, another pharmaceutical French brand, La Roche Posay offers a wide choice of sun and after-sun products. They even sell a protection spray SPF 50+ for children, highly resistant to water.
Even in Spring, we should be taking care of our complexions!
