International French Tennis Tournaments
1891 saw the creation of the now world famous French tennis championship by the Union of Athletic Sports Societies. It first took place in Paris on the Racing Club`s clay courts.Roland Garros stadium, where the tournament host, is made an openning in 1928 for Coupe Davis requirement.
Roland Garros is the first of the 4 Grand Chelem tournaments to become "open" in 1968, it means, open for the professionals and amateurs.
The edition 2007 of the internationnal French Tennis will take place at Roland Garros since 27 of May until 10 of June.Rolang Garros is a French championship wich takes place each years in Paris, Porte d`Auteuil.

In the English world this tournament is called French Open.
