DIRECTORY > Anne Fontaine
In September 2000, Anne Fontaine opened her first shop in London. As always, there is a lot of wood, the floor is made of large paving stones, walls are white and a long country table (specifically designed for each of Anne Fontaine’s shop) is in the middle of the shop. Once you put on a Fontaine design, you'll find that no other white shirt can compare as far as design and quality craftsmanship are concerned. All shirts are neatly folded and cellophane packed with a little bag of dry flowers. There’s plenty of white and some black or purple. Fabrics are in cotton mixed with 4% Lycra or in Tactel, a natural fibre derived from wood and often used for lingerie. Some shirts are with laces or transparent fabrics and can be worn on top of a body. Two long slim black dresses in Tactel have also been added to the collection. And if you wish to make your home look and smell as Anne Fontaine’s store you can even buy the beautiful artificial orchids presented on the shells and her home perfume line “Ame Blanche” which include perfumed candles, incense, sprays, linen water and soaps. Anne Fontaine has even designed her own model of Lampe Berger that you can buy to burn her perfume Rosée d’Iris.
