| There was a breakthrough in March when Eurosport 2 broadcast the ITSF 2009 Babyfoot World Cup from Nantes. This event, and the subsequent article by Giles Smith in The Times, significantly raised awareness of the game. Alongside these developments, the Kick Babyfoot Association goes from strength to strength; since 2004 it has represented Britain in the Bonzini World Championships, and will do so this year in May near Paris, where the best players in the world compete for the title. The KBA is based at Bar Kick, with weekly games, and tournaments played on the last Wednesday of the month. New enthusiasts are discovering the fun and conviviality of the game; everyone's invited and anyone can learn to play. The KBA now offers training sessions; even if you're a seasoned player, you can double your babyfoot skills in one session! | |||

downstairs space at Bar Kick is a favourite entertainment venue: we
host two long-running comedy nights, Sketchup and Comedy Cellar; newer
monthly events include the improv night, and a ukelele jam session!
Many of these events are free or pay-what-you-can, so pop in and join
the merriment. Unique to Kick is our speed-dating game, A Game Of 2
Halves - romance is in the air, but with a modern twist! Keep an eye on
the Stage Page for updates. Downstairs at Bar Kick is regularly hired out for private parties. The space is self-contained, multimedia-equipped, and can accommodate up to six football tables. The team-building aspects of the game are well-known, it's huge fun and the perfect interactive party entertainment. With our expertise as the UK's foremost babyfoot venue, we can organise your private tournament (incl. referee), with or without a buffet created by Kick's kitchen, a private bar and staff, for up to 150 people. Or we can just give you (at no charge) a format from which you can run your own tournament. We'll help you create a party with lots of fun, fair play, and "the boss-thrashing potential of a table footy tournament" (Time Out Bars, Pubs & Clubs Guide 2008). | Our menus are lovingly put together, with daily-changing specials, created from carefully sourced products such as artisan cheeses (buffalo mozzarella) and breads (ciabatta, stirato and pugliese). Little Café Kick in Exmouth Market is famous for its evening Tapas, an array of Mediterranean delights available individually or as buffets: from a simple dish of bread with Spanish Manzanilla olives, to the more robust Garlic King Prawns in white wine, or Bacalhau a Gomes de Sa (salt cod, onions and potatoes).
