Monet and Architecture @ The National Gallery

From 09/04/2018 at 11:00 to 29/07/2018 at 18:00

This is a new way of looking at Monet’s work. It shows how he used architecture to create his compositions, both in his most famous paintings and lesser-known works.
This is the first time in more than 20 years that a purely Monet exhibition has been staged. With over 75 paintings by Monet and more than a quarter of them coming from private collections, this is a unique opportunity to discover the artist as we have never seen him before. More than a quarter of paintings come from private collections from around the world.
We typically think of Monet as a painter of the landscape, the sea and in his later years of gardens - but until now there has never been an exhibition considering his work in terms of architecture.

Due to high demand, we recommend booking online before coming to the Gallery. There are a very small number of tickets available on the day from the Sainsbury Wing Ticket Desk only. To avoid disappointment, we would strongly recommend that you pre-book your tickets in advance.
