Emotional thriller. Its July in Paris. Antoine and Hélène are excited about drivng to the south of France to collect their children from a Summer camp. But Hélène is late and Antoine starts drinking a few beers. Already upset by his wife lateness, the prospect of driving on a busy week-end, the heat of the summer and his untold jealousy about his wife's job (she is a successful lawyer), Antoine starts driving dangerously. They start arguing and eventually Hélène leaves the car during yet another stop in a bar with the intention of finishing the trip by train. At the same time, the police is chasing a criminal. Looking for Hélène, Antoine meets the runaway.
