Laura is ten-years-old. She has moved into a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Paris. Mistaken for a boy by a group of potential playmates, she decides to become Mikael for the summer. But her parents are unaware of her secret new identity. The second film by Water Lillies director Céline Sciamma, Tomboy continues her fascination with gender identity and the codes that society instils in us from a young age.
