Jeanne is a French voice artist who dubs an American actress in a hit TV series. But one day, the American actress blows a fuse and announces she's retiring from acting for good. As a result, Jeanne's life comes crashing down: no more work, no more income, nothing. Jeanne realizes there's only one thing she can do, and it's a hell of a long shot. She takes her destiny in hand and decides to do what on the face of it seems impossible. She's going to Los Angeles to find the American star and convince her to head back on set.

Stateside, first she runs into trouble, but then she runs into Farres, who opens the doors for her onto the wonderful and sometimes wacky world of Hollywood
