Remembrance day is practically upon us. This event which takes place on 11th November is more than just a symbolic day to remember the brave men who died fighting for their country. It is also an event that French and British share because of the First World War. This was the first time in history after the signature of the Entente Cordiale that French and British troops would be fighting together in France against a common enemy. Queen Victoria only a few decades earlier was the first English monarch to visit France without an invading army. The last time before that was in 1431 for the coronation of Henry the VI.
