Do get yourselves to one of the boule events Stella Artois Cider are organising in Ealing and Kingston upon Thames on 28th and 29th July. You won't regret it. Cinema Tribute

The BFI salute Hitchcock's undervalued contribution to Britain's war effort

When Hitchcock leaves Britain for Hollywood in 1939 he was not very popular with some of his former colleagues at home. The war broke out only six months later and this made him even less popular and he found himself accused of deserting his country in her hour of need. Was this justified or did Hitchcock do more for his country by using his films in the war effort?

Olympics

How will France Fare in the 2012 London Olympics?

With the Olympics about to start, the French are getting ready to support their prized athletes, hoping that many of them will get that spot at the top of the podium and stand proud with La Marseillaise playing at full pelt. The French Olympic team will have a great opportunity to win multiple medals in cycling, canoing, kayaking, and judo events. The odds that France will finish in the top 5 in the medal count are very slim, but many are predicting for them to win about 10-15 gold, silver, and bronze medals and have a total medal count of around 35-40. A medal count in this range would put them at near 6th or 7th place on the medal table.
