Gala night on 20th September

Once again, FranceInLondon.com puts Londoners in the jury's seat by letting them vote on their favourite French film of the past year. Will it be Delicacy with Audrey Tautou, Godard's Film Socialisme, or the much-acclaimed The Artist? Once you've had your fill of bubbles, stay on for our preview screening of the immensely popular Untouchable, followed by a wine & cheese party. Restaurant of the week

Challenge your taste buds at Chutney Mary

Ask most French people in London whether they would consider Indian food to be ‘haute cuisine’, and many would think automatically of over-spiced, full-on dishes that the Brits wash down with copious amounts of beer on a Friday night. If you are prepared to challenge these prejudices, try Chutney Mary, a long-established feature on the Chelsea scene and currently our favourite Indian restaurant in London.

New WineTasting Season at the Institut Français

From 1st October

If you like your wines or are interested in finding out more about them, then you should most definitely attend the wine tasting events about to be held at the French Institute in South Kensington. Wine is a vital part of French culture and for this reason, the Institut Français has been running exclusive Wine Tasting sessions for 15 years, a prestigious rendezvous in the intimate and convivial setting of their Art Deco building. Starting in October, their new season will make you discover the wines of France, one sip at a time, through an informative and interactive programme of 16 sessions focusing just as much on the vintage as on French wine-producing regions.

One pair of tickets to be won.

France finishes 16th at the London Paralympics

The French Paralympians

With 45 medals, France finishes 16th at the London Paralympics What a disappointment for the France Team! France was aiming for 10th place but finished 16th, four places lower than in Beijing in 2008. What happened? It all began encouragingly; alas it did not finally live up to expectations.
