c.neeon brought bold Bauhaus optimism to the tents with bright hand-blocked prints and graphic shapes -asymmetric tops with block-coloured and diagonally striped panels over roller-printed leggings and jeans - channelling the aesthetic of early German modernism. However, with hip hop hoodies and funky layering, the look was more urban than an art history lesson. T-shirt dresses, leggings and sweatshirts were stamped with juicy reds, black, teal and cream graphics. Having been asked to design a mini-line for TopShop, their colourful voice from the street cred is near guaranteed.

Baby oiled up and to a theme tune of ‘Lets Get Physical’ it was hard to tell whether Ashish’s girls had come straight from the gym or straight off the dance floor. Indeed, the clothes that followed were suitable for both occasions. It was Eighties sport glamour, and some. Tapered tracksuit bottoms came with zipped seams that revealed sequin panels and were teamed with sequinned neon pink and black striped rugby shirts. Blouson bomber jackets were also sequin embellished and featured chunky hardware ‘biker’ zips and epaulettes. Meanwhile his Miami Vice suiting – with sleeves pushed up and collars firmly popped came in a soft, brushed cotton in faded turquoise and white geometric print and yes, more sequins.

  • Ashley Isham

According to Ashley Isham, summer '06 is going to be one dressed up affair. He sent out a series of eveningwear looks that were so varied - while some were classically tailored, others were dazzling event gowns. There were white lacy summer dresses that oozed femininity, pretty pink shifts with prim ribbon waistband detailing and neat Forties pencil skirts with flippy hemlines, teamed with poison-green silk vests boasting romantic corsages. Even Isham’s trenches were carefully considered; they came in delicate biscuit and ivory prints with doily-like laser cut-outs that graduated from the hem up. Meanwhile premiere-worthy gowns were floor-sweeping, with taupe chiffon wrap around tops, and figure hugging skirts emblazoned with bronze sequins.

  • Ashley Isham: Born in Singapore, studied at London Fashion College
